| Big Dig personnel
were present to answer questions and bask in the glory. Despite the gloomy
weather and long lines, the mood was festive and everybody had a good
time. (Did this last past the first hour? Who knows...) The bridge model was worn by a woman who said her son had made it. Note in particular the red pushpins at the top, representing the aircraft warning lights, and also that the model goes uphill south to north, just like the real thing. Obscured in this photo is the cantilevered two-lane ramp. But it's there. Impressive. |
